Welcome to Genevieve Designs; a small, friendly business devoted to providing you with a beautiful collection of bespoke dresses, personally made to compliment the bride and her wedding.

The first informal and non obligation meeting is a time for discussing designs, fabrics, colours and inspirations. Once the garments are decided upon and made, I usually require two fittings, although one will be enough for young children.

With the need for working around office hours I can be reasonably flexible and arrange fittings in the evenings and possibly on Saturdays. My aim is for the whole process to be as stress-free and enjoyable as possible for all involved.

I grew up in Cornwall within a creative atmosphere and an artistic family who encouraged my love of sewing. After leaving school, I spent a year at Falmouth College of Arts where my love of textiles flourished, followed by a degree course in Textile Design at the University of Leeds.

In 2005 I moved to London and began to make handbags under my own "genevieve" label. At the same time I was working for Vera Wang - fitting and altering her exclusive dresses as well as making veils.

It was here I recognised the demand for unique, yet affordable bridesmaid dresses and since then have immersed myself in the hugely happy and rewading world of weddings.

Recently married myself, I can relate first hand to all the planning involved in the big day and understand the importance of not only the final product, but the friendly and personal service provided too.
